Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or Product Support Analyst in a healthcare environment.
  • Proven experience with test planning, design, metrics, and formal testing methodologies.
  • Practical experience with EMR/EHR interfaces, implementations, and HL7 standards.
  • Experience with change management and tracking defects, enhancements, and new features.
  • Knowledge of source and version control systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and Windows environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts and on-call rotations.
  • Familiarity with Visual Basic, automated testing tools, and SQL preferred.
  • Familiarity with NICU or office-based clinical environments and workflows preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and execute comprehensive test scripts for clinical information systems.
  • Perform functional, application, regression, and performance testing for new releases.
  • Interpret user-reported problems and recommend system changes to resolve defects and improve functionality.
  • Conduct research and testing to ensure hospital and physician interfaces conform to HL7 standards.
  • Maintain and update quality assurance items in JIRA for production issues, current builds, and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to investigate and resolve technical and clinical systems issues.
  • Respond to physician questions and reported issues, prioritizing requests and facilitating timely resolutions.
  • Monitor and support compliance with HIPAA guidelines within clinical information systems.
