Requirements

  • College degree.
  • 8+ years of retirement industry experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in account management or a comparable retirement plan administration role.
  • QKA designation.
  • Demonstrated mastery of compliance processes, testing, corrections, and client service.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations.
  • Experience with Relius.
  • Experience with FT Williams.
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft applications.
  • Proven ability to perform complex nondiscrimination and compliance testing and government filings.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage assigned retirement plan accounts while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Interpret plan documents and apply ERISA, IRS, and DOL requirements to qualified retirement plans.
  • Perform annual nondiscrimination and compliance testing, including ADP/ACP, 415, 402(g), 416, and 410(b).
  • Prepare and support government filings, including Forms 5500, 5558, 5330, and 8955.
  • Calculate employer contributions and confirm annual funding requirements.
  • Identify and calculate required corrections, including missed deferrals, and apply correction methods like VCP and DFVCP.
  • Mentor and train account managers and serve as a technical subject matter expert.
  • Collaborate with auditors, advisors, and payroll teams to ensure accurate plan administration.
  • Participate in process-improvement initiatives and special projects to enhance service delivery.
