Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 7–10+ years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting certification.
- Demonstrated experience supervising accounting professionals and managing team performance.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles, financial reporting, and accrual accounting.
- Advanced, hands-on QuickBooks Online expertise.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English with client-facing communication ability.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with consistent overlap with U.S. business hours.
- Strong professional judgment and independent problem-solving skills.
- Experience with restaurant, hospitality, or multi-location accounting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Staff Accountants by assigning work, setting priorities, and providing coaching.
- Oversee bookkeeping and accounting activities including transaction coding, reconciliations, AP, and AR.
- Own and review Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and financial reporting.
- Lead month-end close processes and prepare financial information for quality control and audits.
- Partner with Relationship Managers to prepare client-ready financial statements and insights.
- Document accounting workflows and maintain SOPs while identifying process improvements.
- Utilize technology and automation, including QuickBooks Online and AI tools, to increase efficiency.
