Requirements
- Extensive experience in media relations, corporate communications, or public relations.
- Proven success developing media strategies and securing positive media coverage.
- Experience supporting executive speaking engagements and press interviews.
- Strong knowledge of crisis communications and corporate messaging development.
- Experience in the technology industry or demonstrated technology-sector expertise.
- Established relationships with technology and business journalists, media outlets, and influencers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under pressure, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute media relations strategies that enhance and protect public image and brand reputation.
- Build and maintain relationships with technology and business media outlets, journalists, and relevant influencers.
- Oversee agency partners in developing and distributing messaging toolkits, press releases, tailored media pitches, media kits, and other communications materials.
- Support executive spokespeople with media inquiries, speaking opportunities, social media strategies, and interviews.
- Manage executive communications projects and programs while ensuring alignment across corporate functions.
- Monitor media coverage, report results, and contribute to PR performance KPIs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain consistent messaging across communication channels.
- Lead crisis communications efforts and develop strategies to mitigate potential negative publicity.
- Plan and coordinate media events, press conferences, and other public relations activities.
- Track industry developments and changes in the media landscape to identify opportunities for positive and timely coverage.
