Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or health care field preferred.
- Prior experience in clinical trials, including experience in a management or leadership capacity.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable clinical research regulatory requirements, specifically GCP and ICH guidelines.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage staff in accordance with organization policies, including planning, assigning work, assessing performance, and addressing employee relations.
- Participate in the selection, hiring, and onboarding process for new employees.
- Ensure staff have necessary systems access, materials, and training to execute responsibilities.
- Allocate staff to clinical research projects based on their experience and training.
- Manage the quality of clinical work through regular review and evaluation of work products.
- Identify quality risks and create corrective action plans to address performance deficiencies.
- Monitor staff against workload and quality metrics as defined by clinical operations management.
- Collaborate with other clinical teams and functional leadership to solve project-related challenges and ensure customer service.
