Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a college junior, senior, or graduate student, or a recent graduate.
  • Inquisitive, creative, and self-motivated mindset.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Interest in the principles of liberty.
  • Experience with data analysis tools including Microsoft Excel, R, Python, GIS, or Stata.
  • Ability to commit to the entirety of the online and on-site KIP programming.
  • Available for part-time work, approximately 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with public officials to obtain public records.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data using Microsoft Excel, R, Python, GIS, or Stata.
  • Conduct literature reviews on topics such as regulatory reform, housing supply, property rights, and coastal land rights.
  • Develop internal data for litigation, communications, or legal policy campaigns.
  • Write blog posts, op-eds, or one-pagers on topics relevant to Pacific Legal Foundation's work.
