Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience shipping AI or ML systems to production.
- Strong programming fundamentals with proficiency in Python.
- Fluency working with data at scale, including advanced SQL, dbt, and distributed query engines.
- Production experience with retrieval and context engineering (embeddings, vector search, graph retrieval).
- Experience with agentic systems and durable workflows (e.g., Temporal, LangGraph).
- Experience with evaluation and observability for AI systems (tracing, dataset-driven testing).
- Cloud deployment experience, preferably AWS, with containerized services.
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Write and ship production AI code daily.
- Lead work on high-speed customer context retrieval using semantic, indexing, and knowledge graph approaches.
- Build inference and signal layers to score data from Iceberg-based lakehouse storage.
- Turn detected conditions like churn risk or expansion opportunities into automated workflows.
- Manage inference costs by selecting appropriate workload tools, from deterministic code to large/fine-tuned models.
- Own evaluation and observability for AI systems to ensure signal soundness before action.
- Set technical patterns for other engineering teams and collaborate with leadership to execute company goals.
