Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience in Workers' Compensation claims handling.
- Current state claims adjuster certification or license.
- Must maintain active Workers' Compensation license or certification.
- Strong knowledge of claims administration, case management, and cost containment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Workers' Compensation claims from initial intake to resolution.
- Investigate claims for validity and compensability and submit required documentation to state agencies.
- Establish claim reserves and authorize payments within authority levels.
- Develop action plans in partnership with case managers to reduce costs and achieve resolutions.
- Coordinate return-to-work initiatives with employers, medical professionals, and employees.
- Oversee subrogation, litigation, and settlement activities.
- Maintain regulatory and client-specific compliance for all claim handling practices.
- Communicate status updates to customers and claimants while supporting team knowledge-sharing.
