Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in biologics, biopharmaceutical services, CDMO, life sciences, or healthcare.
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic or key account management, complex B2B sales, or comparable enterprise-facing roles.
- Proven success managing complex, enterprise-level customer relationships and expanding revenue.
- Experience developing strategic account plans, multi-year growth strategies, and stakeholder maps.
- Strong understanding of biologics development, manufacturing, CDMO operations, and pharmaceutical outsourcing.
- Experience operating within complex, matrixed organizations and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Commercial judgment with ability to identify opportunities, negotiate, and develop sustainable partnerships.
- Experience leading strategic business reviews, opportunity assessments, and long-range account planning.
- Strong understanding of commercial agreements and long-term partnership management.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities to use data, metrics, and market intelligence for strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and develop strategic relationships with major pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations.
- Create and execute comprehensive strategic account plans aligned with customer objectives and growth strategies.
- Drive account penetration and increase share of customer spend across development, manufacturing, and commercial services.
- Develop multi-year growth strategies that evolve programs into broader enterprise partnerships.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Lead strategic business reviews, account planning sessions, and executive-to-executive engagements.
- Serve as the commercial leader coordinating cross-functional teams around customer priorities.
- Partner with marketing to incorporate Voice of Customer insights and market intelligence into account strategies.
- Monitor account performance, risks, and competitive developments to facilitate issue resolution.
- Provide senior leadership with visibility into account performance, pipeline opportunities, and growth projections.
