Requirements
- 5–8 years of professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience building and operating machine learning systems at scale in production.
- Proven ability to frame ambiguous product problems, establish baselines, and select relevant metrics.
- Experience in several areas: document AI, NLP, classification, ranking, recommendation, anomaly detection, deep learning, or generative AI.
- Strong focus on data quality, observability, failure modes, cost, and long-term maintainability.
- Balanced technical, business, and product skills with strong communication abilities.
- Fluency in English.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship ML systems for document understanding, extraction, classification, matching, ranking, scoring, and recommendations.
- Contribute directly to Copilot and Autopilot experiences, including Bookkeeping Autopilot and Revision Autopilot.
- Own the full lifecycle: problem framing, data labeling, baselines, training, deployment, experimentation, and maintenance.
- Define quality metrics including precision, recall, automation coverage, latency, and cost.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and accounting experts to integrate ML into the user experience.
- Monitor emerging ML techniques, including multimodal and generative models, and apply them when they create measurable value.
