Requirements
- 9+ years of industry experience in applied Machine Learning.
- MS or PhD in relevant field.
- Strong programming skills in Scala, Python, Java, C++, or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of ML best practices (training/serving skew, A/B testing, feature engineering).
- Expertise in algorithms (neural networks/deep learning) and domains (NLP, computer vision, search, recommendation, marketplace optimization).
- Experience with 3+ of the following: Tensorflow, PyTorch, Kubernetes, Spark, Airflow, Kafka, Hive.
- Experience building end-to-end machine learning infrastructure and productionizing models.
- Exposure to architectural patterns of high-scale software applications.
- Familiarity with test-driven development, incremental delivery, and deployment.
Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end ranking algorithms and ecosystems for search and recommendation.
- Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data to improve ML models.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and data scientists to identify business impact and define requirements.
- Develop, productionize, and operate ML models and pipelines for batch and real-time use cases.
- Leverage internal and third-party ML tools to enable fast development and low-latency serving.
- Lead projects in areas like feature platforms, model interpretability, and hyperparameter optimization.
