Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering with a focus on data warehousing.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data-centric tasks.
- Hands-on experience with dbt on a cloud warehouse.
- Solid understanding of data architecture and modeling principles, such as dimensional modeling and incremental patterns.
- Working knowledge of relational databases and exposure to non-relational databases like DynamoDB or MongoDB.
- Ability to debug complex data issues and implement durable fixes.
- Demonstrated judgment in reviewing and validating AI-generated code and output.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize cloud-native data pipelines on AWS using ETL/ELT and infrastructure components like Aurora, Redshift, dbt, Spark/EMR, Airflow, and CDC.
- Design and evolve data models to power analytics, operational use cases, and AI/ML across thousands of studios.
- Improve data reliability by embedding governance, testing, and lineage for human and AI system trust.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to transform business problems into robust data solutions.
- Evaluate new approaches including data mesh patterns and emerging AI tooling.
- Contribute to financial and regulatory reporting workstreams requiring high correctness and auditability.
