Requirements
- 3+ years in data engineering with a focus on data warehousing.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data work.
- Hands-on experience with dbt on a cloud warehouse.
- Solid grasp of data architecture and modeling principles (dimensional modeling, slowly changing dimensions, incremental patterns).
- Working knowledge of relational and some exposure to non-relational databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB).
- Proven track record of debugging complex data issues.
- Experience working with and validating AI-generated code/output.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Experience with AWS (Redshift, EMR, Glue, S3, IAM) is a plus.
- Experience with streaming/CDC technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Debezium) or data mesh is a plus.
- Exposure to financial or regulated reporting data is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize cloud-native data pipelines on AWS (ETL/ELT, Aurora, Redshift, dbt, Spark/EMR, Airflow, CDC) using AI tooling.
- Design and evolve data models to power analytics, operational use cases, and AI/ML.
- Raise the bar on data reliability by embedding governance, testing, and lineage.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to turn business problems into data solutions.
- Evaluate and evolve new architectural patterns and AI tooling.
- Contribute to financial and regulatory reporting workstreams ensuring correctness and auditability.
