Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
- Proven experience designing and building scalable, reliable data pipelines.
- Strong Python-based data development skills including Test-Driven Development.
- Expertise in data modeling and schema design for analytical structures.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in complex query and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with DBT (Core or Cloud) for modular SQL and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services: Athena, Lambda, Aurora, EventBridge, Glue, and SageMaker.
- Experience with pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow.
- Knowledge of data observability, monitoring, and pipeline reliability.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Fluent English language proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Modify existing Lambda functions and SQL queries to add new features.
- Refactor code for efficient ingestion and processing of external data.
- Implement automated quality checks and validation rules within pipelines.
- Design data models leveraging Iceberg format for silver and gold layers.
- Optimize queries and data structures for performance and cost efficiency.
- Document data preparation processes, transformations, and architectural decisions.
- Maintain version-controlled code repositories in GitLab with clear commit messages.
