Requirements
- 5-7 years of work experience at an insurance company and/or insurance claims loss adjustment service provider.
- Considerable working knowledge of insurance claims operations, specifically commercial property and casualty claims.
- Proficiency with policy construction and ISO Commercial BOP forms.
- Valid adjuster licensing in all applicable states.
- Strong knowledge of legal concepts and processes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm in your local time zone.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Aptitude with Microsoft Office.
- College degree preferred.
- AIC or PTC designations are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategy to resolve Commercial Property and Casualty, General Liability, Property and Professional Liability claims.
- Investigate claims by reviewing materials, reports, and documentation.
- Identify coverage issues, draft coverage position letters, and retain/direct coverage counsel.
- Analyze coverage and damages to estimate and assess reserves.
- Negotiate resolution of claims and maintain a claim diary.
- Collaborate with underwriting on appetite selection and form development.
- Maintain relationships and oversight with field investigators, appraisers, experts, and TPA staff.
