Requirements
- 7+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years shipping AI/ML systems to production.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Go, or TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with secure cloud architecture on at least one major cloud (network isolation, IAM, private connectivity).
- Experience operating model serving across self-hosted, managed APIs, and customer-provided models.
- MLOps/LLMOps experience with tools like AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or Azure AI Foundry.
- Built governance frameworks for ML/LLM systems covering evaluation, versioning, and rollout/rollback.
- Experience designing for regulated or audited environments (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, FedRAMP, GDPR).
- Deep experience with RAG and LLM agentic patterns.
- Track record of integrating with third-party SaaS and enterprise data sources.
- Clear written communication for diverse technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to switch context and work from ambiguous requirements.
Responsibilities
- Build a governed model access layer for open-weight, cloud-managed, and customer-supplied models.
- Integrate AI capabilities into product experiences and enterprise workflows across batch, interactive, and agentic patterns.
- Establish reusable patterns for evaluation, versioning, approvals, audit trails, cost control, and guardrails.
- Partner with product, engineering, security, compliance, IT, and scientific teams to introduce AI-native architectures.
- Move between assignments as business priorities shift to ensure reusability across different business areas.
- Deliver operational readiness through monitoring, evaluation harnesses, incident playbooks, and measurable SLOs.
