Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in mission-critical environments supporting construction or operations.
- Practical understanding of electrical power distribution equipment assembly and installation.
- Experience with on-site construction and partnering with general and electrical subcontractors.
- Project management skills to monitor schedules and manage bottlenecks.
- Ability to troubleshoot field installation issues and implement code-compliant solutions.
- Flexibility to travel frequently (minimum 50%) or reside near the assigned project site.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or EIT certification preferred.
- Experience with high-density rack installation preferred.
- Mega project construction experience preferred.
- Certifications such as PMP or OSHA 30 preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support on-site installation, quality assurance, functional checkout, testing, and commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure.
- Monitor the deployment of power backup systems, including medium voltage UPS, backup generators, and BESS.
- Manage substation protection systems and provide technical support for temporary power and switching.
- Track construction progress against project milestones to ensure adherence to Basis of Design and engineering specifications.
- Resolve RFIs and Field Engineering Directives (FEDs) between contractors and the internal design team.
- Support levels 1-5 of commissioning activities in partnership with the Cx team.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for emergency issues at the assigned campus.
