Requirements
- Master’s degree in education, educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, school administration, or a related field (Ed.D. or Ph.D. preferred).
- At least 10 years of experience in educational leadership, academic strategy, instructional leadership, or a comparable field.
- Demonstrated experience using academic and student performance data to establish strategy and improve outcomes across multiple sites.
- Deep knowledge of effective K–12 instructional practices, academic performance measures, and school accountability systems.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities to translate complex findings into practical strategies.
- Proven ability to design coherent planning processes, quality standards, and continuous improvement systems.
- Experience developing scalable academic frameworks, tools, and operating practices.
- Strong strategic thinking, project management, and execution skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including coaching and developing teams through change.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and execute a K–12 academic strategy aligned with organizational priorities and state accountability expectations.
- Own and continuously improve the K–12 School Playbook and annual school planning process, including quality standards and supporting resources.
- Manage the Academic Strategy function’s budget and staffing plan to support strategic priorities.
- Analyze academic, engagement, and graduation data to identify systemic trends and translate findings into actionable priorities.
- Lead proactive academic supports and instructional strategy implementation, with a focus on Tier 1 instruction and student success.
- Provide strategic oversight for national school counseling priorities, including graduation planning and postsecondary readiness.
- Direct program managers in translating strategic priorities into implementation plans and school-facing resources.
- Evaluate academic and counseling initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align organizational support.
