Requirements
- Experience owning a platform, API, developer product, or complex technical product with measurable outcomes in reliability, adoption, or success rates.
- Technical depth to collaborate with engineers on APIs, authentication, data models, routing, and platform architecture.
- Experience delivering products through external vendors or partners, including making build-versus-buy decisions.
- Understanding of reliability, error taxonomies, failure recovery, and observability as core product responsibilities.
- Experience balancing user growth and customer experience with fraud, risk, security, and compliance considerations.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical capabilities into a clear, long-term product vision and investment case.
- Strong analytical skills with experience building measurement frameworks and metrics for product performance.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A strategic and pragmatic approach to simplifying complex systems and creating scalable solutions.
- Experience with open banking or consumer-driven banking frameworks is a strong advantage.
- Experience in financial data aggregation or launching public APIs is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term vision and product strategy for the connectivity platform, balancing immediate needs with scalable, reusable capabilities.
- Own the end-to-end experience for external financial account linking, including authentication, error handling, and connection management.
- Improve connection success rates, reliability, and institutional coverage through routing strategies and automated recovery.
- Manage external technology partner relationships, including build-versus-buy decisions and vendor integrations.
- Lead the strategy and roadmap for the public API and external financial data connectivity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Security, Legal, and Compliance to deliver measurable product outcomes.
- Develop platform capabilities for authentication, consent, permissions, and data access.
