Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations or a closely related environment.
- 2+ years of experience leading, managing, or supervising operational teams.
- Proven experience coaching employees through performance management and professional development.
- Experience interviewing, selecting, and onboarding team members.
- Strong understanding of healthcare payer operations and administrative workflows.
- Familiarity with prior authorization operations is valuable.
- Experience working with athenahealth and/or NextGen is preferred.
- People-first leadership approach with the ability to maintain accountability.
- Strong ownership mentality regarding team performance and quality outcomes.
- Coaching-oriented communication style for capability development.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across a team.
- Adaptability to move between manual workflows and AI-powered tools.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, manage, coach, and develop a team of 10–12 Partner Operations Associates and Senior Associates.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and career development sessions.
- Participate in hiring activities, including interviewing, candidate evaluation, and onboarding.
- Partner with operational leads to improve team quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a limited personal caseload of approximately 25% of working time to stay familiar with operational workflows.
- Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and implement improvement actions.
- Manage scheduling, attendance, and day-to-day employee support.
- Address performance concerns directly and develop performance improvement plans.
- Ensure consistent execution of operational standards and quality expectations.
- Support change management and the adoption of new technologies and AI-powered tools.
