Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) certification.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in ICT accessibility compliance and project support.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting ICT projects and acquisitions by addressing Section 508 requirements.
  • At least 2 years of dedicated experience evaluating and remediating electronic documents for Section 508 compliance.
  • Broad knowledge of Revised Section 508 Standards and federal accessibility reporting frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate accessibility requirements into ICT acquisition processes and SDLC activities.
  • Strong analytical and data-validation skills with experience interpreting accessibility testing results.
  • Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program compliance support and technical governance oversight to ensure ICT initiatives meet federal Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • Review and validate accessibility data, identify compliance issues, and track program outcomes.
  • Review Section 508 requests through established governance processes and provide guidance to project teams.
  • Integrate Section 508 compliance checkpoints into ICT acquisition and SDLC activities.
  • Interpret web accessibility testing results and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain accessibility activity and compliance reports.
  • Review deliverables at SDLC milestones to identify and remediate accessibility risks.
  • Remediate electronic documents including Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF files.
  • Provide guidance and support for instructor-led accessibility training.
