Requirements
- Strong expertise in dbt Core (experience establishing best practices, structuring models, and running dbt in production)
- Deep knowledge of AWS Redshift and columnar database optimization
- Strong SQL proficiency: ability to read and understand legacy T-SQL (SQL Server) logic and rewrite it into modern Redshift SQL
- Familiarity with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) is a nice-to-have
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dbt models leveraging existing Redshift pipelines
- Analyze, deconstruct, and migrate legacy T-SQL stored procedures into modular, optimized Redshift SQL models using dbt
- Architect the dbt project structure and provide technical guidance on data modeling strategies to the internal engineering team
- Execute and optimize batch data transformation workflows within Redshift
