Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise or SaaS environments.
- 4+ years of engineering or people management experience.
- Experience leading multiple engineering teams or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong ownership of execution, planning, prioritization, and dependency management.
- Experience partnering with senior Engineering and Product leadership on strategy.
- Experience owning production services, including on-call, SLOs, and incident response.
- Experience in collaborative environments where engineers participate in discovery and requirements definition.
- Strong technical judgment to guide design decisions and empower senior/lead engineers.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with cloud platform management and architecture (Azure preferred).
- Strong Java/Kotlin development experience.
- Experience leveraging or leading teams using AI-assisted software development tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop engineering teams through regular coaching, feedback, performance management, and career development.
- Develop senior engineers and emerging leaders by empowering them to own initiatives from discovery through implementation.
- Own execution and delivery across assigned teams, ensuring priorities, dependencies, and risks are managed.
- Improve engineering operating practices, planning processes, and delivery tracking.
- Provide strong technical leadership and judgment, ensuring engineering decisions align with architecture, quality, and strategy.
- Maintain hands-on technical engagement to remain credible and provide informed guidance.
- Ensure effective operational ownership, including on-call practices, SLOs, and incident response.
- Partner with Product and stakeholders to establish clear business context, priorities, and success criteria.
- Champion AI-assisted development practices while maintaining engineering quality and accountability.
