Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- 8+ years of professional engineering experience on complex distributed systems.
- 4+ years of direct people management experience leading senior, staff, or principal engineers.
- Proficiency with software development in languages such as Javascript, Python, C#, or Java.
- Architecture expertise in distributed, high-availability production environments.
- Applied experience leveraging modern AI-first engineering practices and agentic development environments (e.g., Claude Code).
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and mentor an engineering organization composed of senior, staff, and principal individual contributors.
- Establish and execute technical roadmaps for distributed, high-performance systems.
- Embed modern AI tools and automation into the engineering lifecycle to accelerate velocity.
- Coordinate delivery and technical trade-offs with executive stakeholders and product leadership.
- Build scalable team structures, establish career pathways, and drive workforce planning.
