Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the bar of at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 8–10+ years of progressively responsible legal experience.
- Significant in-house legal experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting a SaaS, software, technology, or similarly complex business environment.
- Significant experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated commercial and technology transactions.
- Strong knowledge of SaaS agreements, software licensing, data privacy, and data security.
- Experience advising senior executives and business leaders on complex legal and risk matters.
- Experience supporting M&A transactions, corporate matters, litigation, or regulatory compliance is preferred.
- Combination of top-tier law firm and in-house technology/SaaS experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor on commercial transactions to senior leadership and cross-functional business partners.
- Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS agreements, customer/vendor contracts, licensing, and other complex technology transactions.
- Provide legal guidance on data privacy and security matters to support the company's global privacy program.
- Monitor evolving privacy, technology, and regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable business guidance.
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence, transaction execution, and integration.
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Product, and HR to identify legal risks and develop practical business solutions.
- Develop and improve legal templates, playbooks, and contracting practices to enhance operational efficiency.
