Requirements
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Membership in good standing of any United States state bar.
- 5-6 years of experience in law (firm, corporate, or both).
- Knowledge and understanding of corporate law.
- Ability to interpret laws and draft service and product-related contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-level legal matters simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis.
- Strong analytical, communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work with relative independence.
Responsibilities
- Draft, redline, and negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), SaaS contracts, SLAs, and licensing agreements.
- Manage the contract lifecycle for Technology Services and Insurance Solutions products.
- Evaluate and resolve legal issues, collaborating with business stakeholders and escalating complex matters to senior counsel.
- Develop new and non-standard agreements, managing multiple iterations and making final language determinations.
- Identify and assess potential legal risks, providing recommendations for mitigation.
- Perform legal research on complex questions or cases as assigned.
