Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license and good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- At least 5 years of relevant transactional legal experience in a law firm or in-house department.
- Experience with or exposure to healthcare payor contracting, value-based care arrangements, or complex risk-based healthcare agreements.
- Foundational knowledge of Value-Based Care, Medicare Advantage Organizations, and healthcare fraud and abuse laws.
- Ability to draft and negotiate agreements effectively.
- Strong skills in risk identification and balanced decision-making.
- Ability to work effectively across functions in a matrixed organization.
Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end negotiation of Medicare Advantage risk agreements.
- Draft, review, and maintain payor contract templates.
- Monitor CMS regulatory developments and advise business partners.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial vendor and third-party agreements including SaaS, data, and technology.
- Collaborate with internal departments like Finance, IT, and Compliance to ensure regulatory and security compliance in contracts.
- Research federal and state legal developments affecting company markets.
- Translate legal and operational risks into practical guidance for business stakeholders.
