Requirements
- 10+ years experience building and operating backend systems.
- 5+ years of experience in Go.
- 2–3+ years acting as a Staff/Principal-level IC or Tech Lead for critical paths.
- Deep proficiency with Protobuf, ConnectRPC/gRPC, and API lifecycle management.
- Expertise in distributed systems fundamentals (idempotency, ordering, consensus, backpressure).
- Experience with event-driven architectures on GCP, Pub/Sub, Redis, MongoDB, Firestore, and ClickHouse.
- Strong Kubernetes/GKE operations skills at scale.
- Proven experience with reliability engineering (SLIs/SLOs, capacity planning, DR/BCP).
- Knowledge of security and compliance best practices (PCI, secrets management).
- Solid understanding of Vue.js and TanStack Query for frontend collaboration.
- Exceptional technical writing skills (design docs, ADRs, RFCs).
Responsibilities
- Architect and ship multi-tenant services including checkout, subscriptions, payments orchestration, and invoicing.
- Guarantee resilience and availability of payment paths using patterns like circuit breakers, idempotency, and Saga.
- Ensure auditability through double-entry ledgers, immutable event streams, and trace-linked entities.
- Own error boundaries, service catalogs, and configuration management for production excellence.
- Lead reliability strategy, including SLIs/SLOs, capacity planning, and incident management.
- Drive technical governance through design reviews, coding standards, and mentorship.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate platform capabilities into product roadmaps.
