Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Security Operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Splunk SIEM, Google SecOps, or Microsoft Sentinel.
  • In-depth understanding of modern EDR tools like CrowdStrike and SentinelOne.
  • High-level understanding of Adversary Tactics, Techniques, & Procedures (TTP) and MITRE framework.
  • Advanced knowledge of Event Logging, Triage, and Analysis.
  • Proficiency in pivoting to various log sources and cloud systems during investigations.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
  • Experience working with customer SLAs and contract requirements.
  • Ability to convey complex event data to internal teams and customers.
  • Ability to train and mentor analysts in a player-coach capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and empower the analyst team through cybersecurity education and investigation guidance.
  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex security incidents.
  • Act as the shift triage expert for critical investigations, customer compromises, and network targeting.
  • Participate in operational projects to improve SOC processes, customer retention, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with leadership, customer service, and product teams to gain insight into offerings and services.
  • Act as an additional resource for the Threat Response team during high-priority incidents.
  • Perform peer review sessions to enhance analysis quality for ticket escalations.
