Requirements
- At least 14 years of progressive experience in marketing, strategic communications, media relations, or public affairs.
- At least 7 years in a leadership role managing and developing a communications team.
- At least 5 years in a marketing leadership role, independently responsible for a large brand.
- Demonstrated experience building or evolving communications systems, processes, and team structures.
- Track record of translating complex, technical, or research-based content into compelling narratives.
- Experience owning departmental budgets, workforce planning, and vendor portfolios.
- Experience with national/international media strategy and crisis communications.
- Experience advising executive leadership or serving in an executive advisory capacity.
- Working knowledge of AI tools for strategic communications with sound ethical judgment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Public Policy, or related field.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute integrated marketing and communications campaigns aligned with organizational priorities.
- Steward parent and sub-brand identities, ensuring consistent voice and visual standards.
- Lead content and digital audience strategy while building robust analytics and reporting capabilities.
- Partner with Development and Research teams to support revenue growth and programmatic integration.
- Design and maintain organizational communication systems, workflows, and quality standards.
- Provide executive-level communication advisory and lead media relations strategy.
- Direct team culture, budget, workforce planning, and vendor portfolios.
- Write, edit, and produce campaign materials in a hands-on, player-coach capacity.
