Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or 8 years of equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of private/corporate accounting experience, OR 2-3 years of experience including at least 1 year in public accounting.
- Experience with complex bank reconciliations and general ledger.
- Experience preparing financial statements and/or government reports.
- Expertise with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain accounting records with appropriate supporting material; prepare and correct entries for general ledger reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals.
- Reconcile complex accounts requiring in-depth analysis and research, including bank statements and inter-company general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and provide appropriate accounting information and reports.
- Produce and analyze financial statements, reviewing for completeness and alignment with contracts and policies.
- Coordinate problem resolution and provide technical guidance or training to finance staff.
- Research and recommend new systems and procedures as needed.
