Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise or SaaS environments.
- 4+ years of engineering management experience with demonstrated success coaching and developing teams.
- Experience leading multiple engineering teams or initiatives spanning diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ownership of team execution, including prioritization, dependency management, and workflow improvement.
- Experience partnering with senior leadership on organizational priorities and technical strategy.
- Proven ability to own production services, including on-call duties, SLOs, and incident response.
- Strong technical judgment with experience in Java/Kotlin development for backend services.
- Experience with cloud platform management and architecture, preferably Azure.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted software development tools and workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop engineering teams while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Own execution and delivery across engineering teams, ensuring effective planning, dependency management, and risk mitigation.
- Provide technical leadership to guide design decisions and maintain architectural quality standards.
- Ensure operational ownership, including on-call practices, SLO management, and incident response.
- Partner with Product and cross-functional teams to drive discovery, solution definition, and AI-assisted development practices.
