Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Expertise in Core Java (8 and 21+), Java EE development, and REST APIs.
- Proficiency with IDEs such as Eclipse (IBM Rational Application Developer) and IntelliJ.
- Strong front-end skills including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with complex SQL and relational databases (DB2 / DB2 for I, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with JUnit for unit testing, Git for source control, and Maven for build/dependency management.
- Experience with installation, configuration, upgrade, and administration of Linux environments.
- Experience with HCL Digital Experience, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM DB2, and/or OpenLiberty.
- Understanding of software design patterns, principles, standards, and security best practices.
- Ability to work outside normal hours to deploy code changes and maintain the eCommerce ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and other teams to translate project requirements into technical deliverables.
- Design and implement scalable, responsive, and user-friendly web applications covering both front-end and back-end development.
- Develop well-structured and efficient code using appropriate programming languages and frameworks.
- Create and maintain databases, APIs, and server-side functionalities to support application performance.
- Ensure web application security and integrity by implementing best practices for authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Analyze, support, maintain, refactor, and modernize legacy code.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
