- Experience
- Minimum of six (6) years of CAD software experience
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience using CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D).
- Associate degree in drafting or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
- Demonstrated experience performing non-routine drafting and design assignments.
- Ability to work in all types of terrain and weather conditions for site visits.
- Capacity to travel for in-office activities, client meetings, and site visits as needed.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform non-routine drafting and design assignments for mixed-use, commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
- Apply diversified knowledge of engineering and design principles to solve complex design needs.
- Coordinate the efforts of less experienced technicians.
- Recommend design approaches and prepare preliminary designs for engineering staff.
- Perform advanced drafting duties, including running calculations, updating drawings, determining material needs, and reviewing project specifications.
- Mentor less experienced technicians.
- Attend client meetings and perform site visits in various terrain and weather conditions.
