Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, or recent university graduation with strong technical projects.
- Solid programming fundamentals in TypeScript and/or JavaScript.
- Experience or familiarity with React, Node/Express, Postgres, and AWS.
- Familiarity with AI-native development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- Demonstrated desire to learn how production software is built and operated.
- High self-motivation and the ability to proactively solve problems.
- Comfortable receiving and implementing technical feedback.
- User-first mindset with a focus on practical software application.
Responsibilities
- Ship features end-to-end from backend development through to user interface.
- Develop and maintain AI pipelines including prompt engineering, context management, and AI evaluations.
- Collaborate with the CTO and grant team to build solutions based on real user problems.
- Trace and fix bugs in the production environment using Sentry, CloudWatch, and Postgres.
- Utilize AI-native development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor in your daily workflow.
- Participate in code reviews as a learning tool to incorporate feedback and improve technical skills.
- Progressively take on independent feature ownership and contribute to technical decisions.
