Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience managing data center construction or critical infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record managing full lifecycle data center projects, including Greenfield builds and colocation fit-outs.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction practices.
- Experience managing OFCI equipment procurement, submittal review, and installation oversight.
- Proficiency in reviewing technical design documents like Sequence of Operations and commissioning plans.
- Skilled in construction schedule and budget management, including forecasting and tracking.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or Smartsheet.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to travel 50% to various data center sites.
Responsibilities
- Manage the build out of multiple data center projects concurrently, from detailed design to physical build out.
- Coordinate with internal SMEs across electrical, mechanical, and low voltage disciplines to ensure technical alignment.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and forecasts for design and construction expenditures.
- Review and evaluate OFCI equipment submittals and provide procurement recommendations.
- Participate in design reviews, including page-turn meetings, Basis of Design documents, and commissioning plans.
- Assist with RFPs for equipment and whitespace fit-outs and manage vendor performance.
- Prepare and deliver detailed project reports to executive leadership.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to quality standards.
