Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in specialty pharmacy; or 8+ years of directly related experience.
- Experience working in manufacturer settings and/or with manufacturer account representatives.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse customer base including MD office staff and patients.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience providing excellent customer service with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to manage issue intake via phone and email while prioritizing urgent tasks.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and multitask on tight deadlines.
- Pharmacy Technician License (Preferred).
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (Preferred).
Responsibilities
- Provide concise and accurate patient status information from system and/or via collaboration with other team members to assigned manufacturers.
- Collaborate with internal SPP teams or team members to expedite patient processing as needed.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve escalated issues and cases related to complex reimbursement.
- Serve as point of contact to manufacturer field reps, MD offices, and/or patients for all assigned orders.
- Lead weekly (or as needed) calls with manufacturers in conjunction with the Program Manager.
- Perform manufacturer-specific enhanced services such as specialized welcome calls or contractual timed patient calls.
- Identify patients with potential for shipment delays and create strategies to expedite or escalate situations.
- Prepare and/or review internal reports for assigned therapy and manufacturer.
