Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination).
- Experience using Sage Intacct or similar web-based accounting systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a virtual team environment.
- Experience with Expensify, Ramp, or similar expense management tools (preferred).
- Experience in non-profit or investment organizations (preferred).
- Familiarity with Teams, Office 365, Asana, and Box (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for corporate bank accounts and investigate reconciling items.
- Record outgoing investment wires and corporate ACH disbursements in the general ledger.
- Update fixed asset schedules, record depreciation, and reconcile related accounts.
- Prepare month-end journal entries for payroll and employee benefits.
- Lead the weekly Accounts Payable (AP) disbursement process and manage vendor documentation.
- Facilitate grant disbursements and generate necessary banking files.
- Assist with interim/year-end audit requests and annual tax schedule preparation.
- Identify internal control weaknesses, process improvements, and automation opportunities.
