Requirements
- 2+ years in production machine learning engineering with real ownership of models after handoff.
- Strong Python skills: ability to write typed, tested, production-grade code and review the work of others.
- Machine learning depth to challenge pipelines on problem framing, feature engineering, model selection, and evaluation.
- Hands-on experience with managed ML platforms like SageMaker, Vertex AI, Databricks, or Azure ML.
- Proficiency with feature stores, CI/CD for machine learning, AWS, and Terraform.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot in daily workflows.
- English language proficiency at C1 level (written and spoken).
- Must be based in Brazil and able to invoice through your own company.
Responsibilities
- Own models from handoff through to production: packaging, deployment, monitoring, and the decision on whether a model is ready to serve.
- Maintain production model reliability through drift detection, performance monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Manage the serving and inference path including pipeline artifacts, entry points, and feature-store parity.
- Review model design and evaluation methodology to identify data leakage, windowing errors, and evaluation weaknesses.
- Extend the shared platform to remain useful for all models without leaking project-specific logic.
- Set engineering standards for the platform as it scales across the organization.
