Requirements
- Deep expertise in PHP 8.x, strict typing, enums, readonly properties, and OOP API design.
- Proven experience with WP_Query, REST API, multisite, WP-CLI, caching, and custom metadata.
- Strong proficiency in building server-rendered custom Gutenberg blocks with React and ES modules.
- Architectural mindset with experience in domain logic, dependency injection, and data models.
- Hands-on experience with PHPUnit, Jest, and the Arrange / Act / Assert testing pattern.
- Deep understanding of HTTP, SQL, input sanitization, and prepared queries.
- Comfort with Docker-based local environments and advanced Git workflows.
- Practical experience using AI coding assistants for code development and review.
- Fluent in English for interviews, documentation, and communication.
Responsibilities
- Design and build robust backend systems using modern PHP 8.x, strict typing, and object-oriented design.
- Develop custom plugins, hooks, filters, custom post types, and REST APIs for WordPress.
- Build custom Gutenberg blocks and dynamic editorial interfaces using React and the @wordpress/* package ecosystem.
- Architect scalable application structures and assist in migrations from legacy Laravel systems.
- Write and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests using PHPUnit and Jest.
- Work alongside AI agents like Claude Code daily to review, test, and guide AI-generated code.
