Requirements
- Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Hands-on experience building end-to-end test automation, preferably with Playwright.
- Experience writing unit tests using Vitest or Jest.
- Strong debugging skills across the full stack including browser devtools, network traces, server logs, and database queries.
- Experience testing and debugging data-heavy applications (finance or analytics).
- Ability to read income statements and understand core financial metrics like P/E ratios and free cash flow.
- Understanding of how paid data products work including subscription tiers and paywalls.
- Experience or interest in AI technologies, specifically LLMs and AI coding agents.
- Keen eye for UI/UX details.
- Based in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Own the inbound bug pipeline for the Terminal: Sentry issues, customer-reported problems, and what you find yourself.
- Reproduce, prioritize, and fix or route every issue encountered.
- Fix bugs across the stack including the React/Next.js frontend, Cloudflare Workers backend, and the data layer.
- Design and build the end-to-end test framework using Playwright for the Terminal.
- Implement the test framework in CI against preview deploys and expand regression coverage for key flows.
- Write unit and integration tests alongside fixes to prevent regression.
- Develop playbooks, debugging guides, and test conventions for the team.
