Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise in dbt: modeling, testing, data quality, observability, and governance.
- Experience with ingestion and orchestration pipelines such as Airflow or Airbyte.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation, ingestion, and scripting.
- Strong autonomy and ability to drive projects independently in an async-first environment.
- Solid grasp of software engineering best practices including versioning, code reviews, and CI/CD.
- Product-oriented mindset with a focus on data quality and real business outcomes.
- Cross-functional communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Model and transform data with dbt, following a clean staging → intermediate → marts architecture.
- Own data quality, reliability, and observability through testing, monitoring, alerting, and code reviews.
- Maintain the data catalog and governance to ensure data is discoverable, understood, and documented.
- Build and maintain dashboards in Metabase to provide teams with trustworthy visibility into KPIs.
- Maintain and scale ingestion pipelines using Airbyte and Airflow to bring data into the warehouse.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define metrics and support self-serve analytics.
- Conduct technical watch to continuously improve platform architecture and tooling.
