Requirements
- College diploma or degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of technical experience in cloud, application, infrastructure, or network security.
- At least 1 year of hands-on AWS experience.
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud-based security technologies.
- At least 1 year of experience with Linux operating systems.
- One or more relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Associate, Security+, GSEC, or GCLD).
- Scripting proficiency in Bash or Python.
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, CIS, and ISO 27000.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, threat modeling, and secure SDLC methodologies.
- Understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, and AWS Security Hub.
- Experience with security tools like SIEM, SOAR, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, integrate, and configure new and existing security solutions.
- Monitor security tools and systems to identify and respond to suspicious activity.
- Investigate and resolve security incidents, vulnerabilities, and problematic activity.
- Partner with application development teams to assess and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, security audits, and penetration testing.
- Maintain secure configuration baselines in alignment with industry frameworks like CIS and CSA.
- Contribute to security policies, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning.
- Provide technical guidance and support for end-user security tickets.
