Requirements
- 5+ years in the high tech industry in roles such as Developer, Sales Engineer/Architect, or Manager.
- Direct experience mentoring, developing people, and managing performance.
- Experience implementing or executing formal sales methodologies such as Command of the Message or MEDDPICC.
- Direct experience selling monitoring, data, or visualization products.
- Proven ability to own a book of business and direct work initiatives to exceed targets.
- Proven ability to work effectively with sales leadership counterparts.
- Experience in Open Source selling or Cloud-first/Product-led sales motions is a plus.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices such as IaC, CI/CD, and GitHub Actions is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Attract, recruit, ramp, and mentor a team of Presales Solutions Engineers.
- Adopt a player/coach mentality to balance field responsibilities with team management.
- Provide executive sponsorship for key regional accounts.
- Partner with Sales leadership on top-of-funnel programs and marketing initiatives.
- Develop strategies to enable customer adoption of Grafana technologies.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Manage team performance and cadence regarding discovery, demonstrations, and technical validations like POVs and Mutual Account Plans.
