Requirements
- Track record of scaling organizations from 1 to many employees.
- Multi-jurisdiction financial and legal or regulatory fluency.
- Comfortable executing on ambiguous goals with a proactive, self-directed working style.
- People leadership experience including hiring, performance management, and building HR infrastructure.
- Excellent stakeholder and people management skills across government, funders, and academic partners.
- Sound judgment regarding high-stakes situations.
- High reasoning transparency.
- Enjoys building systems from a low base.
- Nice to have: China or Asia work experience or language skills.
- Nice to have: Experience in mission-driven non-profits or fast-scaling startups.
- Nice to have: Charity or non-profit legal and compliance background.
- Nice to have: Experience operating a distributed or remote-first team.
Responsibilities
- Review and upgrade the entire operating stack including hiring, payroll, onboarding, and expense management.
- Develop organizational processes for goal setting, project management, performance management, and talent development.
- Manage the incorporation and charity registration of the UK entity, including visa sponsor licensing.
- Oversee the operational implementation of China engagement and strategic legal tasks.
- Lead the establishment of new corporate entities and permanent office space in Singapore and London.
- Implement organization-wide security best practices.
- Partner with leadership to develop organizational culture, strategy, and employee governance.
