Requirements
- Experience founding an organization or running an incubator, accelerator, fellowship, or fiscal-sponsorship program.
- Deep understanding of the AI safety ecosystem and the types of organizations needed to fill critical gaps.
- Strong judgment in identifying promising founders and projects with limited evidence.
- High agency to build a vision from scratch and execute autonomously.
- Mission-aligned with the goal of reducing risks from advanced AI.
- Operationally fluent and comfortable handling legal, financial, and compliance work with support.
- Ability to work in the ET time zone for meetings.
Responsibilities
- Design the program structure, including cohort models, support systems, and operational readiness criteria.
- Own the launch by building application/selection processes, recruiting the first projects, and setting up operations.
- Advise incubated projects on strategy, fundraising, hiring, and operational needs.
- Determine the program's strategic direction, growth, and integration with other Kairos initiatives.
- Contribute to org-wide strategy and cross-cutting program work.
