Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- CAMS certification.
- 6–9 years of professional experience in BSA/AML, financial crime compliance, quality assurance, quality control, or independent testing.
- At least 2 years of experience managing and developing people, preferably investigators or analysts.
- Experience designing and applying risk-based sampling methodologies and error taxonomies.
- Strong knowledge of alert investigation, case management, and sanctions screening workflows.
- Understanding of quality control principles including statistically valid sampling and reviewer calibration.
- Familiarity with the five-element documentation baseline and regulatory examiner expectations.
- Ability to identify patterns, trends, and control weaknesses.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience in financial services, banking, fintech, or payments.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of an independent QC program across five review populations.
- Apply and maintain risk-based, stratified sampling methodologies.
- Maintain an error taxonomy covering critical, significant, and administrative findings.
- Lead and develop QC Leads and Analysts through clear performance expectations and calibration sessions.
- Compile and report quality control results, trends, and thematic findings for senior leadership.
- Track effective-challenge findings and remediation activities through to closure.
- Support internal audit and independent testing engagements while maintaining functional independence.
