Requirements
- 3–5 years of direct sales experience selling HR services within a PEO or HR/employee-benefits managed-services environment.
- Demonstrated and verifiable success acquiring new clients, supported by quota attainment history, documented production, references, or other measurable evidence.
- Proven ability to manage a full-cycle sales process encompassing both inbound lead conversion and self-sourced outbound prospecting.
- Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to communicate credibly about HR, payroll, employee benefits, risk management, and compliance.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working in a metrics-driven sales environment with defined activity, pipeline, and revenue goals.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot and common sales engagement and prospecting tools.
- Strong organizational and pipeline-management abilities, with the discipline to manage multiple lead sources and sales opportunities simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of targets and sales outcomes.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to build productive relationships with Marketing, channel partners, implementation teams, and other internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own new-client acquisition across inbound and outbound channels, with approximately half of the role dedicated to converting marketing and channel-generated leads and half to proactive prospecting.
- Respond quickly and professionally to inbound opportunities from marketing campaigns, website inquiries, referral partners, brokers, and other channel relationships, maximizing lead-to-close conversion.
- Research target accounts and buyer personas, identify high-potential prospects, and consistently execute outbound campaigns through cold calling, email, LinkedIn/social selling, networking, and other prospecting methods.
- Manage a self-generated pipeline through the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, needs assessment, solution development, proposals, presentations, negotiation, and close.
- Conduct consultative discovery conversations and connect prospect needs with appropriate HR managed-services solutions, clearly communicating business value.
- Deliver compelling presentations and proposals to HR leaders, business owners, and executive stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity, forecasts, and reporting across inbound and outbound opportunities.
