Requirements
- 8-10+ years of professional experience in editorial production, live events, television, or festivals.
- Proven experience owning programming end-to-end with clear examples of success.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with A-list and high-profile talent and sensitive stakeholders.
- Ability to design and deliver non-traditional event formats such as TED-style talks and fireside chats.
- Strong editorial judgment with the ability to structure nuanced, high-tension conversations.
- Advanced organizational skills with experience managing complex trackers, run-of-shows, and timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for briefs, invitations, and live collaboration.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments while juggling multiple workstreams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance diverse input from leadership and funders.
- Must be able to be on-site in Los Angeles for 3 days (April 4th-6th, 2026) for event production.
Responsibilities
- Own the full editorial lifecycle for A Day of Unreasonable Conversation from initial concept to post-event wrap.
- Build and prioritize speaker lists and secure diverse talent, including lived-experience storytellers and issue experts.
- Design and script engaging, non-traditional event formats such as fireside chats and structured multi-voice conversations.
- Partner with production, creative, and fundraising teams to align editorial vision with technical needs and sponsor goals.
- Lead briefing and preparation for talent, including managing master scripts, segment flow, and guest communication.
- Serve as the senior editorial presence on-site, ensuring the program runs smoothly and editorial standards are upheld.
- Synthesize post-event performance and feedback to inform future programming strategies.
