Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS networking (VPC, CIDR, peering, Transit Gateway, VPN).
- Extensive experience managing Kubernetes environments, including cluster administration, RBAC, and EKS.
- Experience building or contributing to Internal Developer Platforms, with Backstage experience strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices.
- Practical experience designing and maintaining modern CI/CD pipelines in cloud-native environments.
- Proficiency with observability platforms such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, VictoriaMetrics, or OpenSearch.
- Understanding of cloud security, access management, SSO, OIDC, and IAM patterns.
- Ability to develop Backstage plugins or extend internal platform capabilities.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex infrastructure issues.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Envoy is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain paved-road templates and golden paths within a Backstage-based Internal Developer Platform.
- Provision, configure, and operate Amazon EKS clusters ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
- Design and manage cloud networking components including VPCs, Transit Gateway, and site-to-site VPN connectivity.
- Implement secure egress controls and support Central Inspection Hub onboarding.
- Build and operate comprehensive observability capabilities using Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, VictoriaMetrics, and OpenSearch.
- Develop automated delivery pipelines and GitOps workflows using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Kargo.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Establish reliable engineering patterns to improve application delivery and developer productivity.
